Brewing Instructions

Step 1 — Prepare Your Filter

Place a paper filter into the Clever Dripper and rinse it with hot water.

This removes any paper taste and preheats your brewer.

Discard the rinse water.

Step 2 — Add Coffee

Add your ground coffee to the brewer.

Recommended Ratio:
1:15 coffee-to-water ratio
(Example: 20g coffee for 300ml water)

Step 3 — Pour Water

Slowly pour hot water over the coffee grounds until fully saturated.

Give it a gentle stir to ensure even extraction.

Step 4 — Let It Steep

Place the lid on and allow the coffee to steep for 2½–4 minutes.

Suggested brew times:

2½–3 minutes → Lighter, brighter cup
3–3½ minutes → Balanced & sweet
4 minutes → Fuller body and deeper flavour

Step 5 — Release the Brew

Place the Clever Dripper on top of your mug or server.

The valve at the bottom will automatically release the coffee, filtering it through the paper.

Let it drain completely — usually within 30–60 seconds.

Step 6 — Sip & Enjoy

Enjoy a clean, flavourful cup with a smooth finish.

Perfect black, or with a splash of milk if preferred.

Pro Tips for a Better Cup

Rinse your filter first
It improves flavour and helps maintain brewing temperature.

Adjust steep time to taste
Longer brew = richer body. Shorter brew = brighter cup.

Fresh coffee matters
Freshly ground beans unlock better aroma and sweetness.

Experiment with ratios
Want stronger coffee? Increase coffee dose instead of reducing water.

Best For:
