Moka Pot Brew Guide
Bold. Intense. Café-Style at Home.
The Moka Pot is a timeless brewing method loved for its rich, strong, and flavour-packed coffee.
Brewing on the stovetop using steam pressure, the Moka Pot creates a bold cup with deep body and intensity — similar to espresso, but uniquely its own. Perfect for milk-based drinks, strong black coffee, or when you want a little extra kick to start the day.
Simple, nostalgic, and endlessly satisfying.

🔥 Stovetop or Heat Source
🥄 Spoon (for leveling coffee)
☕ Your Favourite Mug
Brewing Instructions
Step 1 — Add Water
Fill the bottom chamber of the Moka Pot with water up to the safety valve.
For better flavour and quicker brewing, use preheated water.
Step 2 — Add Coffee
Fill the filter basket with coffee grounds.
Level the coffee gently — do not tamp or press it down.
Recommended Ratio:
Follow your Moka Pot basket capacity for best results.
Step 3 — Assemble the Pot
Securely screw the top and bottom chambers together.
Ensure the seal is tight before placing it on heat.
Step 4 — Brew on Gentle Heat
Place the Moka Pot on medium to low heat.
As pressure builds, coffee will begin flowing into the upper chamber.
Keep the lid open if you’d like to watch the extraction.
Step 5 — Listen for the Finish
Once you hear a gentle bubbling or hissing sound, remove the pot from heat immediately.
Avoid over-brewing, as this can create bitterness.
Step 6 — Serve & Enjoy
Give the brewed coffee a gentle stir inside the top chamber to blend flavours evenly.
Enjoy as:
• Strong black coffee for a bold experience
• With milk for café-style drinks
• As the base for a homemade latte or cappuccino
Pro Tips for a Better Cup
✨ Never tamp the coffee
Unlike espresso, compressed grounds can create too much pressure.
✨ Low heat is key
Slow brewing extracts sweeter, smoother flavours.
✨ Use fresh coffee
Freshly ground beans create richer aroma and body.
✨ Clean thoroughly after every brew
Avoid soap if possible — warm water cleaning helps preserve flavour and pot longevity.
✨ Stop the brew at the right time
Once bubbling starts, remove from heat to avoid burnt flavours.
Best For:
Strong coffee lovers • Espresso-style brewing • Milk-based coffee drinks
